BY-LAW NUMBER 2020.64

A By-law to amend By-law 2020, as amended, 500 Drury Lane - The Corporation of the City of Burlington.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF BURLINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

l. Zoning Map Number 14E of PART 16 to By-law 2020, as amended, is hereby amended as shown on Schedule "A" attached to this By-law.

2. The lands designated as "A" on Schedule "A" attached hereto are hereby rezoned from R3.2 to R3.2-174.

3. PART 15 of By-law 2020, as amended, Exceptions to Zone Classifications, is amended by adding Exception 174 as follows:

Loading/unloading shall not take place within 30 metres of a residential zone.

Loading/unloading docks shall be screened from view from a street or adjoining residential zone.

 

 

 

 

Outside Storage:

Perishable waste shall not be stored outside, it must be kept in refrigerated storage within a building.

Non-perishable waste stored outside on lands abutting a residential zone shall be kept within a solid screen enclosure

subject to Part 1, subsection 2.2.1(c).

 

 

 

Except as amended herein, all other provisions of this By-law, as amended, shall apply

4. When no notice of appeal is filed pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, this By-law shall be deemed to have come into force on the day it was passed.

If one or more appeals are filed pursuant to the said Planning Act, this By-law does not come into force until all of such appeals have been finally disposed of, whereupon, this By-law, except for such parts thereof as are repealed or amended in accordance with the direction of the Municipal Board or as are repealed or amended by the Municipal Board shall be deemed to have come into force on the day it was passed.

EXPLANATION OF PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF BY-LAW 2020.64

The purpose of By-law 2020.64 is to rezone land located on the west side of Drury Lane, north of Caroline Street, to amend the R3.2 residential zone by adding Community Institution as a permitted use.
